Pop-Up Shop 2025: Sticker Cards
How to encourage visitors to explore all activities on offer.
As in previous events, we utilised a simple way to monitor how many of our visitors engaged with our pop-up shop - by handing out stickers for each activity and awarding a prize to everyone successfully collecting six stickers.
The different activities to win stickers were:
Grow Your Own Microbes
VR Space Lab
Handwashing Challenge
Microsope World
Antimicrobial Resistance Tin Can Alley
Plasmid Ring Toss
Immune System Ballpit
We offered more than six activities from where to collect stickers to allow for differences in ages and abilities (e.g. the VR headsets were not suitable for very young players, and the ballpit was not utilised much by older players).
Visitors who collected six stickers could choose a prize from our Superbugs-branded merchandise (pens, bookmarks, rulers, wristbands, ballons, keyring torches).
The backside of the sticker card congratulated players for having become ‘Antibiotic Resistance Champions’, with a set of recommendations of what a champion can do to help raise awareness and contain antimicrobial resistance.
Over the course of four weeks, a total of 900 visitors successfully completed the sticker challenge, corresponding to 5,400 individual activities.
