Gentamicin
🤵🅰️👨👦 (gent-a-my son)
Gentamicin is what we call an ‘aminoglycoside’ (ah-mean-or-glike-or-side) because of its chemical structure.
It was first discovered in 1963 and is still a useful antibiotic today. If you go to see the doctor with an eye infection, gentamicin may very well be in the antibiotic drops you get given.
